RECURVE CHAIR

ReCurve is a conceptual rocking chair inspired by Alvar Aalto's Piamio chair and other prominent Scandinavian designers. It was created during my semester abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. The chair is completely made from hardwood (no screws). Each curve is made from thin, 4mm strips of epoxied hardwood. The seat is made with a herringbone weave canvas webbing.

REFORM HOUSE

Is an 80 sqft. tiny home designed for Camp Take Notice, a local Ann Arbor homeless community.

As storage and living space were the two primary concerns of the client, we opted to create storage/bench seating in the downstairs living area, and "chicken stairs" which reduced the footprint of the stair case and led to a lofted bedroom.

The home runs on a propane gas heater and a single 100w solar panel. There are two 3 watt lights inside the home: one upstairs reading light, and one broad room light.

BIKE GRILL

Prompted with the challenge to improve the overall picnic experience, as well as accommodate our busy lifestyles, I designed a lightweight, mobile grill and prep station for picnicking on the go. Was it safe? Probably not. Was it fun? Absolutely!

Charcoal lit, the grill mounts on the back of any bicycle rack and the prep station neatly stows away on the side. By the time you get to the park, the side vents have heated your coals to the perfect temp for cooking burgers. No more sad, cold picnics.
