Recess Pickleball - Technical Pack
This lightweight and compact sport backpack was designed to keep your paddles at hand. It holds two pickleball paddles, a change of clothes, a water bottle and balls, everything you might need on your way to the courts. The padded mesh straps and channeled back relief cutout keep it cool/comfortable during the summer months, and the hidden pockets keep your valuables safe.
The exposed paddle handle detail was originally inspired by the traditional ninja/warrior back-mounted swords, which can also be found in modern pop culture films like the Deadpool franchise.

Recess Pickleball - Market Tote
Designed as part of the "chocolate" bag series which was lanched Fall of 2023. This large court tote was made to carry up to four paddles and all necessary gear to have a great day on the pickleball courts. The whole pack is foam padded to keep all of your essentials protected and the oversized zip-top keeps everything easily accessible.

Recess Pickleball - Hip Pack
A quick hip and shoulder pack designed for everyday pursuits. The Recess team wanted an understated pack, that felt "sporty" and "elevated". To achieve this, I went with a relatively common hip pack form factor, and paired it with a chunky logo webbing similar to the style used on design handbags and a more technical plastic buckle trim.

Recess Pickleball - Rally Bag
This is the first pack I designed for Recess. The request was for a "simple" and quickly produced sling bag that could hold two paddles and 3 balls. The color choices by the Recess team and form factor resulted in a look similar to an Avocado half, which I think complimented their laid back and playful brand voice at the time. Being the first soft goods project Recess had entertained, I worked with the team to source, vet, and set up successful long-term production partners.
